Antique Solid Silver Double Albert Watch or Neck Chain & Fob 24 inch Long Bir 1899 189grams

This one is a very heavy antique sterling silver double Albert pocket watch chain with graduated curb links, a t-bar fob and working dog catch. Each link of the chain is hallmarked with the lion passant sterling silver mark. The bulls eye link is hallmarked Birmingham 1899. The t-bar is hallmarked for sterling silver Birmingham 1899 maker’s mark HP. Th dog catches work well, and close tightly shut (perhaps the biggest antique dog catch I have ever seen). The dog catch is hallmarked for sterling silver Birmingham 1901 maker’s mark JS*. The middle link of one chain has the maker’s mark HP. The double sided sterling silver fob has two raised empty cartouches. To the reverse of the fob is a hallmarked for sterling silver Birmingham 1907 maker’s mark RP. This watch chain is long enough to be worn as a necklace.

Weighs in at 189.1 grams approx.  

Measurements: 24 inch long approx. Plus the extra 2 inches of chain links attached to the fob.
